Mr. Sithiphone - 5th Grade English and History

Welcome S.A.C. Prep Students and Parents!

I am Mr. Sithiphone. This is my eighth year teaching here at S.A.C. Prep. As a teacher, my goals for my students are: 1) To believe in themselves, 2) Become better writers and thinkers, and 3) Learn to work well with others. By working together, these goals will not only be reached, but surpassed by all students.

In addition to teaching, I am also a first year Doctoral student in the Benerd School of Education at the University of the Pacific. I received my Masters of Arts in Education and Teaching Credentials from the California State University, Sacramento and my Bachelor of Arts in Asian American Studies and Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley

Outside of work and the university, I love to travel, hike, and cook. I have driven to Yellowstone National Park, Seattle, Portland, and to Texas, twice. I have hiked Clouds' Rest in Yosemite National Park, Dipsea Trail to Stinson Beach, and around Point Reyes. I also love to cook, which means I LOVE to eat. Some of my latest and most successful dishes include jambalaya, spicy pasta, and chili.

Lastly, I am a BIG sports fan. My favorite sports teams are: Sacramento Kings, San Francisco 49ers, San Francisco Giants, and the San Jose Sharks. My favorite sports to play are basketball and tennis.

That is all for now! Let's make this year a great one!
