Hello! My name is Ms. Nhia Moua and I am thrilled to announce that this is my eighth year teaching at Sol Aureus College Preparatory. I am excited and so proud to be a part of the Sol Aureus family. I am passionate about teaching and want to inspire all students to succeed socially and academically.
I was born in Thailand and came to the United States in 1989. I grew up in Modesto, California and graduated from Johansen High School. After high school, I attended CSU, Sacramento and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Multicultural and Multilingual education. I also have a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Phoenix.
I started my teaching career as a 5th and 6th grade Math and Science teacher. I also worked as a Beginning Teacher Support and Assessment (BTSA) provider to support and mentor teachers new to the teaching profession. This school year will be my second year working as a Reading Intervention Teacher. In addition to being an intervention teacher, I am also the lead teacher for the 5th-8th grade team.
I am married and have three children. My daughter is in 8th grade and my son is in 5th grade. They both attend Sol Aureus College Preparatory. My youngest son is 19 months old. During my free time, I enjoy cooking, traveling, hiking, and spending time with friends and families.
I am honored to be at Sol Aureus College Preparatory and look forward to working with your students!
